Description
JSI invites you to join our team as a Right of Way (ROW) Agent on our Engineering and Design Team in our Nephi, UT office, where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.
Position Overview:
As a ROW Agent, you will be responsible for securing and managing rights-of-way, permits, and land access agreements to support broadband infrastructure deployment. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, landowners, and local jurisdictions to ensure projects are executed efficiently and compliantly. This is not a remote position and would require you to work in our Nephi, UT office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review engineering drawings and construction plans, coordinating closely with engineering teams to determine ROW and permitting needs.
  • Identify and secure the necessary permits and easements from federal, state, county, city, and private landowners.
  • Negotiate right-of-way acquisitions and other property interests to accommodate telecommunication operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, property owners, local agencies, and permitting entities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and documentation.
  • Travel and a reliable vehicle are required.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in right-of-way acquisition for telecom and related infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of ROW for telecommunications projects and a solid understanding of general regulatory and legal issues.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Benefits and Compensation
  • Competitive salary + performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
  • Generous PTO and travel support.
  • Ongoing professional development and educational opportunities.
