JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title:                     Deck Attendant-Golf Center

Grade:                         II                                

FLSA:                         Non-Exempt

Department:                Revenue Facilities

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to:                  Superintendent of Revenue Facilities   Golf and Facilities Supervisor

Supervises:                  N/A

BASIC FUNCTION

The Deck Attendant is responsible for customer service and minor maintenance on the driving range decks.  Prompt service and the ability to understand the Golf Center automatic tee up and the conveyor system is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Provide exceptional customer service on decks.
  2. Check the short game area, grass tees, and course on a regular basis.
  3. Prepare all mats and stations for use.
  4. Check grass tee area and straighten whenever necessary.  Fill divots if present.
  5. Check short game area and prepare for use. Clean all balls from the area when there is no starter
  6. Complete daily reports accurately and neatly. Turn them in to Front Desk.
  7. Remain on decks to serve customer needs and ensure patron safety.
  8. Fix minor errors to hit stations.
  9. Check ball boxes and conveyors on a regular basis.
  10. Minor custodian work including; cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and cleaning windows and decks. 

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Clean and straighten decks. Check and clean bathrooms as needed.
  2. Empty trash from garbage cans on decks.
  3. Empty ashtray inside and outside of building.
  4. Work cohesively with Front Desk.
  5. Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Park District Safety and Crisis Manuals
  6. Performs additional duties as assigne

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:                   Less than High School

Experience:                 Must be at least 16 years of age.                                    No prior work experience required.

Certifications:             No certificates required.
