POSITION SUMMARY:

The Golf Course Attendant is responsible for monitoring the golf course, which

includes hospitality to all golfers, enforcement of rules and flow of play, upkeep of

supplies and provisions on the grounds, facility cleanliness and safety, and friendly

service to members, participants, and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Preparation of the golf course before opening, and upkeep of supplies and provisions throughout the day.
  2. Keeping driving range, chipping area and putting green free of golf balls, when appropriate.
  3. Golf cart stewardship (responsible care, driving, and cleanliness).
  4. Assisting golfers when necessary to maintain course play and to prevent late starts and slow play.
  5. Assisting Directors and Instructors during classes, special events, and tournaments as needed.
  6. Tracking of the daily schedule and communicating with the Director of Golf and service desk staff of programs and current course play.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior employment experience
  • Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills
  • Detail oriented, accurate and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met

by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While

performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

  1. May be required to walk, stand, kneel, and stoop
  2. Continuous operations requiring attention to detail and multi-tasking
  3. Must be able to lift, pull and move up to 100 pounds
  4. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  5. Must be physically able to successfully complete required certifications
