Job description

Apogee is looking for a talented Technical Program Manager to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). This high-impact position will provide technical leadership guiding the application and advancement of critical intelligence disciplines such as Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), and Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME). NASIC’s mission is to discover and characterize air, space, missile, and cyber threats to enable full-spectrum multi-domain operations, drive weapon system acquisition, and inform national defense policy. NASIC's enduring ability to delivery authoritative, engineering-level scientific and technical intelligence is pivotal in our Nation's defense.

This is a full-time opportunity at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), OH.

***Contingent Upon Contract Award***


  • Provides expert-level oversight of program and functional managers across a broad portfolio of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) and Information Technology (IT) programs
  • Consults on program execution to include multiple agency partnering, opportunity assessments, resource allocations, and/or risk identification on technical and developmental issues
  • Directs and evaluates cost, schedule, and performance of complex technical efforts
  • Solicit operational/technical requirements, then prepare supporting documentation to include statements of work, and submit for approval/processing
  • Track status of various acquisitions from submission through award, support contract administration to include management of contract deliverables; and track obligations/ expenditures
  • Interface with external agencies to facilitate collaboration, data and product sharing and integration of intelligence
  • Facilitate technical exchanges and implement processes for broader community awareness of Intelligence R&D efforts across the Air Force enterprise
  • Develops and presents briefings to executive and senior level customer personnel

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) adjudication

Education: Master's degree
Years of Experience: 9 years of experience supporting DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) technical project management activities.


Additional Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISR and intelligence disciplines
  • Effective, efficient written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
