Description

Develops and evaluates quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and governmental regulatory requirements. Establishes department policies, control processes, and quality programs within overall direction set by senior management. Exercises judgment in dealing with unusual cases or those involving significant cost. Manages Quality, provides support for Production and Development Programs, ensuring compliance to Customer Quality Requirements and adherence to the Quality System. Ensures protection of the customer in regard to product quality and ensuring contract requirements are met. This includes ensuring/verifying the quality of product inputs and the quality of product outputs.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the development, application and maintenance of processing materials into finished products.
  • Assign and coordinate the appropriate quality support to the programs.
  • Participate in design reviews, reliability reviews, and production readiness reviews.
  • Prepare detailed trip reports for internal and external customers.
  • Interface with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Program Management, and management at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements during order acknowledgement
  • Review, critique, and edit reports related to reliability analysis, safety analysis, and failure analysis.
  • Compiling and distribution of Tinley Park's KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis to senior management
  • Advises operating on quality control standards and recommends corrective action, dispositions, and modifications where necessary

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in quality management/leadership role
  • Knowledge of industry standards for PCBA and mechanical components (e.g., IPC, MIL, and J-STD)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team members, and management
