Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Current ORT certification
- Current experience in an operating room setting
- BCLS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively with department personnel, hospital personnel, medical staff, and sales and repair representatives
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and sterile setup of all surgical instrumentation during scheduled and emergency surgical cases.
- Gather all necessary instrumentation and supplies as noted on surgeons' pick sheets.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Capable of managing pressure assignments and clerical duties relative to the department.
- Adhere to all safety and procedural guidelines to ensure a sterile surgical environment.
