Job description

The IT Systems Support Manager – MES, ERP & Building IT is responsible for the administration, support, integration, and continuous improvement of the company's Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and all building-related information technology infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations. This position ensures reliable operation of business-critical applications, production systems, network infrastructure, end-user computing, and facility technology while serving as the primary liaison between manufacturing, engineering, operations, finance, and third-party technology vendors. 

This role is essential in maintaining system availability, cybersecurity, operational efficiency, and digital transformation initiatives within a high-volume solar module manufacturing environment. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Administer and support the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).  
  • Configure production workflows, routing, product traceability, and work order management.  
  • Support barcode scanning, serialization, genealogy, and production reporting.  
  • Troubleshoot MES issues impacting production and coordinating corrective actions.  
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to implement process improvements.  
  • Support equipment integration and machine communications.  
  • Ensure production data accuracy and integrity.  
  • Assist with software upgrades, testing, and validation.  
  • Manage daily support for the ERP platform.  
  • Configure users, security roles, permissions, and workflows.

  • 5+ years of IT systems administration experience in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).  
  • Experience administering ERP systems in manufacturing.  
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.  
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments.  
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.  
  • Knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure. 
  • Experience with SQL databases. 
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in solar manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, automotive, semiconductor, or other high-volume manufacturing.
