POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Manager is responsible for the leadership, administration, security, and strategic direction of the organization's technology environment. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, vendor relationships, and service delivery while ensuring technology solutions align with organizational goals. The IT Manager leads and develops the IT team, establishes operational standards, manages technology projects and budgets, and serves as the primary technology advisor to leadership.

  • Strong understanding of IT operations, service delivery, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff, including performance management, training, and career development.
  • Establish team priorities, workloads, and service delivery expectations.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture that delivers high-quality technology support across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and operational documentation.
IT Operations and Service Delivery
  • Oversee daily IT operations, service desk functions, and technology support activities.
  • Monitor system performance, service levels, ticket trends, and user satisfaction metrics.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of business-critical systems and services.
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical and operational issues.
Infrastructure, Systems and Security
  • Support and oversee technology operations across multiple office, property, and remote locations, ensuring consistent service delivery, connectivity, security, and technology standards.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of infrastructure, cloud platforms, business applications, endpoint devices, and network services.
  • Ensure effective management of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, and related technologies.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, risk management efforts, vulnerability remediation, and security awareness programs.
  • Maintain disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and incident response capabilities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to support, optimize, and maintain business-critical applications and technology solutions.
Vendor and Financial Management
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, service providers, and telecommunications partners.
  • Oversee hardware, software, licensing, procurement, inventory, and technology asset lifecycle management processes.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the IT budget and technology expenditures.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and negotiate contracts to maximize value and operational effectiveness.
Strategic Planning and Projects
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute the organization's technology roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business operations through technology, automation, and process improvement.
  • Lead technology implementations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations that support organizational growth and efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present technology updates, risks, initiatives, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with increasing technical and leadership responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, property management, field operations, or geographically dispersed business environments highly preferred.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, CISSP, PMP, or equiivalant industry certifications preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Up to 10% travel may be expected for this position.
