This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is looking for a Program Manager at Eglin AFB.ย 

This position works in support of the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Munitions Directorate and assists with developing and executing their vision and guidance driving the next generation of munitions technology development for the Air Force. The position works primarily out of the Ordnance Science Innovation Center (OSIC) in Eglin AFB, FL.

The mission of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Munitions Directorate (RW) is to develop superior, effective, and affordable weapons technologies for the warfighter. As the primary Air Force organization for the development of conventional munitions technology, AFRL/RW is committed to providing technologies that enable the warfighter to win in all domains and that contribute to a more lethal and ready Air Force and Space Force. To that end, AFRL/RW plans and executes research, development, and testing of conventional munitions and supports
conventional munitions weapons program offices.

Within AFRL/RW, the Science and Technology Division (RWT) directs and conducts exploratory and advanced Research and Development (R&D) of fuzes, damage mechanisms, energetic materials, seekers, guidance, navigation, controls, autonomy, and computational modeling for air launched munitions for use with a full array of launch platforms including fighter, bomber, and remotely piloted vehicles.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Working in partnership with the Principal Scientist, Lead HII cost, schedule, performance and risk management activities
  • Develop a realistic schedules for all deliverables, ensuring all supporting deadlines are met in coordination with program office government leadership.
  • Provide up to date revenue (internal to HII) and burn forecasts (to GOV customer) on a routine basis
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develops new business or expands services with the customer.
  • Responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program.
  • Maintain and update required HII internal program documentation
  • Provide HII executive leadership with quarterly program status update
  • Complete required monthly status reports on program activity
  • Ensure implementation of a knowledge management site to track all deliverables and maintain all program documents (via DTIC website) ICW with Knowledge Management Team
  • Ensures sub-standard work products are responsively corrected
  • Coordinates staffing of deliverables with both internal HII and external GOV teams
  • Persistently surveil environment for process improvements and efficiencies and implement with GOV leadership approval
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Advanced experience in:
    • Convening/leading acquisition Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
    • Managing a matrix workforce and leading in team environments
    • Managing complex technical procurements and interdependencies
    • Preparing and delivering effective Power Point briefings to large groups
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Understanding of Project Lead-tasks and expectations
    • Convening and leading customer meetings internal and joint
    • Understanding of Programmatic Issues, Risks, Concerns and presenting Corrective Actions
    • Skilled communicator
  • Must possess a PMP or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Clearance- Must possess and maintain a SECRET with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
