Job description

Synergy Senior Management is a leading management company specializing in Senior Assisted Care,Memory Care and Independent Living.  We manage operations, marketing, and provide a comprehensive ranged of services, including IT support for various senior facilities.  We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy IT Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our IT infrastructure across multiple locations.  

Job Summary:

The IT Assistant will assist the IT Manager in providing technical support to our senior care facilities.  This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining hardware and software systems, and providing general technical assistance to staff.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a passion for technology, and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and network issues.  
  • Set up and configure computers, printers and other peripheral devices.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of software applications. 
  • Manage and maintain user accounts, including passwords, security settings and access levels.
  • Assist with routine network and server maintenance. 
  • Provide technical support to employees via phone, email and in-person at various locations.
  • Maintain documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps. 
  • Monitor IT tickets and prioritize tasks to meet the company's technical support needs. 
  • Help ensure IT compliance with company policies and security protocols. 
  • Perform data backups and recovery as needed. 
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in IT support.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.) and basic network concepts. 
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), firewalls and VPN setup. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
