POSITION OVERVIEW


Transitioning from military service requires more than simply finding a job.

Blackrock Strategy, Inc. is seeking SkillBridge participants to support mission-focused efforts across emerging technologies, operational analysis, engineering support, knowledge management, technical documentation, and defense modernization initiatives.

This role operates at the intersection of analytical problem-solving, operational support, technology assessment, and mission execution, contributing to efforts that support defense innovation and operational capability development.

Participants will gain hands-on experience aligned to their background, operational experience, company priorities, and client needs while supporting real-world defense challenges alongside government, military, engineering, and industry stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support operational analysis, research, and mission support activities
  • Assist with technology assessments, data collection, and analytical efforts
  • Analyze information to identify trends, risks, gaps, and operational considerations
  • Support operational planning, knowledge management, and documentation activities
  • Prepare reports, briefings, summaries, and written deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate across engineering, operational, and program support teams
  • Support mission-focused initiatives aligned to defense modernization and emerging technologies
  • Assist with process improvement, organizational support, and operational coordination activities
  • Perform additional duties supporting operational and program objectives as assigned

PROGRAM DETAILS
  • This opportunity is part of the Department of War SkillBridge Program
  • Participation requires approval through the service member’s command and SkillBridge process
  • Internship structure and responsibilities are aligned to participant background, operational experience, company priorities, and client support needs
  • Remote support opportunities may be available depending on role alignment and operational requirements
  • Potential post-SkillBridge employment opportunities are based on performance, business needs, and client demand

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active-duty service member eligible for DoW SkillBridge participation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail
  • Ability to operate effectively in dynamic operational environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar business tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively across operational, technical, and administrative teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting military operations, Joint planning, or defense-related activities
  • Experience working in operational, analytical, technical, or mission-support environments
  • Familiarity with technology assessment, operational analysis, knowledge management, or technical documentation
  • Experience working across cross-functional or multi-stakeholder teams
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, innovation, or defense modernization initiatives
  • Backgrounds in operations, intelligence, logistics, communications, engineering support, aviation, UAS, cybersecurity, or mission planning environments are highly valued
