Job Summary: The Technical Editor will report to the Technical and Multimedia Content Director and will be responsible for performing similar tasks and responsibilities with content creation and development. The focus of all video content and production will be on topics related to the automotive industry, so a foundation as a professional technician and passion in automotive systems, repair procedures, diagnostics and emerging technologies is required. This includes overseeing the production process of both sponsored and non-sponsored video content as assigned and ensuring that the group’s standards of excellence are maintained while meeting client expectations and deadlines.


This role is a hybrid oportunity- 2 days in the St. Paul, Minnesota office and 3 days working from home.

Job Function:

  • Coordinating and creating sponsored and unsponsored video and multimedia content, acting as “on screen” talent and subject matter expert within the automotive industry.
  • Subject Matter Knowledge - automotive systems, repair procedures, diagnostics, and emerging technologies (EVs, ADAS, TPMS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ASE standards, OEM repair information, and industry best practices for automotive technicians.
  • Working closely with sales representatives and clients in determining client goals and objectives.
  • Researching and developing scripts to meet client objectives.
  • Shooting video as required – knowledge of video technical requirements.
  • Researching and writing technical articles, working within the timeline of the editorial calendar.
  • Posting content to web sites as assigned (Various social media platforms, YouTube, and company site).
  • Managing multiple productions to ensure their timely completion.
  • Communicating effectively with both internal and external clients to ensure product scope and content is delivered to meet their needs.
  • Hosting live stream video content.
  • Comfortable working under time restraints - able to adapt to meet last minute project requests.

  • Technical Writing & Editing – Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging scripts and articles tailored for professional technicians.
  • Video Script Development – Skilled at structuring technical information into step-by-step, easy-to-follow scripts with strong narrative flow.
  • On-Camera & Public Speaking – Confidence and clarity in presenting technical content on camera, webinars, or live events.
  • Content Review & Accuracy Checking – Ensuring all technical details, procedures, and terminology are correct and consistent.
  • Collaboration – Working effectively with SMEs, editors, videographers, and marketing staff to produce high-quality content
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into content that is clear, accurate, and accessible to professional technicians.
  • Ability to stay current on industry trends and incorporate them into content creation.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects (e.g., video shoots, article deadlines) under tight schedules.
  • Ability to engage and connect with an audience, whether through written word or on-camera delivery.
  • Familiarity with EV, Hybrid, and other emerging technology, preferred.
  • Familiarity with collision repair, painting, or vehicle restoration, preferred.
  • Experience writing technical content, preferred.
  • ASE Master Certification (A1-A8), or the ability obtain Master status in the first year of employment, a plus.
  • Experience with social media and multimedia content creation, a plus.

We are excited to share the salary range for this position is $70,000 - $76,000. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. If you are hired for this position at EndeavorB2B your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
