  • Accurate Technical Customer Documentation
    • Create clear, consistent manuals and guides for new equipment.
    • Update documentation to reflect engineering, mechanical, or process changes throughout the build.
    • Verify content on-site at the machine (e.g., changeovers, complex changeover locations, and servo references) to ensure accuracy and usability.
    • Prepare final deliverables, including printing hard-copy manuals on-site when requested; use approved AI tools to assist drafting while ensuring final technical verification.
  • Support Customer Learning and Operator Success
    • Develop and maintain customer manuals that help operators find answers quickly and complete tasks safely.
    • Improve clarity and readability using consistent terminology, formatting, and step-by-step structure.
    • Contribute to templates, standards, and reusable content to increase documentation consistency and efficiency.
    • Gather feedback from the Technical Documentation Engineer, operators, and internal stakeholders to refine usability and reduce questions in the field.
  • Collaborate to Capture Machine Changes
    • Partner on-site with Machine Leads and Engineering Leads to capture documentation-impacting updates.
    • Manage priorities to deliver accurate documentation within project timelines and release milestones.
    • Communicate proactively to clarify open items, resolve discrepancies, and remove barriers to completion.
    • Uphold Aagard's quality and safety expectations by ensuring documentation is accurate and ready for customer delivery.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in related field plus one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Familiar with AI-assisted writing tools (e.g., for drafting, summarizing, or improving clarity) and willingness to learn approved tools
  • Strong computer, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Proficient keyboarding, computer, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data
  • Ability to work on-site in an office and manufacturing environment, including frequent interaction with manufacturing personnel and time on the production floor to observe operations
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail
