Job description

In the role of Methods Agent, your main responsibility will be to act as a liaison between engineering and production. You will provide standardized and consistent technical support to the teams. You will be the operational backbone of cross-site standardization. More precisely, you will have to :
  • Create and update the steps sequence in Prextra based on released engineering or customer documents.
  • Associate the correct sequential steps with work orders.
  • Generate and update production binders, including drawings, lists, instructions, and related documents.
  • Create picking lists consistent with the list of components and purchasing requirements.
  • Complete and maintain technical documentation related to manufacturing.
  • Answer questions from production colleagues regarding plans, instructions, and processes.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical plans to support operations.
  • Support factory acceptance testing on ongoing projects.
  • In collaboration with the engineering team, update plans (TQF).
  • Participate in the non-compliance management process and document causes and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to clarify requirements and ensure consistency in technical deliverables.
  • Support planning in the preparation and sequencing of work orders.
  • Participate in project follow-up meetings, as required.
  • Apply the methods standards established by the methods supervisor.
  • Propose improvements to work instructions, work order structures, document formats, or work sequences.
  • Contribute to reducing irregularities (variations) and harmonizing practices across different sites.
  • Participate in employee training on methods and tools.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a college diploma or a bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or any other equivalent qualification.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level).
