Due to the continued rapid growth of our Electronic Security group, we are currently seeking an Account Executive to help us to further expand our business.

Technology Solutions Architect (TSA)

This position assists the Sales Organization in delivering the proper technology solutions to our customers by contributing to the development of repeatable and scalable electronic security solutions.

Primary responsibilities
  • Providing subject matter expertise to drive customer discussion on electronic security solution offerings
  • Assist in coordinating communications and activities between the sales teams, local & regional field resources and the pre/post‑sales engineering department
  • Act as and be the systems integrations and field applications expert for the sales organization
  • Direct and act as a technology mentor for sales, costing, engineering, and field implementation
  • Perform customer consultations, presentations, and demonstrations of identified technologies that fit the need for the customer’s solution
Additional responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed field surveys for use in the design development and estimating of a customer’s solution
  • Value engineer solutions to meet customer needs and support the sales operations teams to win
  • Support costing & estimating engineers by developing, providing, and collaborating on bill of materials, scope of work, presales device placement drawings and subcontractor collaboration
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals by providing pertinent technical information and review proposals for technical accuracy and adherence to product standards
  • Advise and interact with product management regarding product defects and provide customer input on suggested product improvements
  • Support the field teams by selecting standard technology across installations. Where necessary, this includes supporting field installations with understanding of design and solution
  • Provide insight and assist in the process of creating advanced plans when customers are migrating or implementing new technology. This includes technology selection, and project planning
  • Support sales with technology related questions or scope. Help them understand what solution and strategy is required to accomplish a job, specification requirement and to win. This includes attending meetings, walk‑throughs and scope reviews
  • Work with capture management on the proposal and scope creation process by supporting the specification, RFP and bid review
  • Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into system design documentation
  • Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client‑oriented documentation
  • Participate in job kickoff meetings & ensure a proper handoff from engineering to the delivery organization and work closely with sales and engineering during the kickoff process. Support engineering design questions related to the implementation of the technology components of projects
Qualification and Education
  • 5+ Years’ experience in Electronic Security
  • 2+ Years’ experience in designing ES systems (Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV/ VMS (Video Management System, Visitor Management Systems, Intercom Systems).
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions.
  • Detailed knowledge of integrated security solutions and design.
  • Some knowledge of Fire Alarm & Life Safety Code.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Systems & Networking.
  • Working knowledge of door locking hardware.
  • Working knowledge & understanding of electricity, specifically low voltage systems.
  • Ability to read & interpret electronic security specifications, perform equipment counts (takeoffs). Identify cable requirements & distances, as well as calculate power load & battery calculations.
  • Ability to work around deadlines and opportunities
  • Organizational skills & detail oriented essential
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written customer communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self‑directed individual with strong understanding of electronic security and information technology
Preferred Skills
  • Field Applications experience preferred
  • Systems Integration experience preferred
  • Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) and Global Security Operations Centers (GSOC) experience preferred
  • Bluebeam and Visio experience preferred
  • Knowledge of high security credentials such as Class/DES Fire & Personal Identity Verification (PIV/FICAM).
  • Understanding / Certification with UL (681 & 2050) & High Security applications/systems.
  • Knowledge of Structured cabling/ BICSI Certification / EIA/TIA-568.
  • Understanding of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) code (Specifically in your assigned area) / NICET Certified.
