Job description

Project Technician- We are seeking a highly motivated Project Technician to provide field-based technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for electronic equipment and systems. This role serves as a key customer-facing representative and may lead technicians on assigned projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in dynamic field environments.


**This position requires extensive travel, with approximately 80% of work performed at customer locations throughout various jurisdictions. Must have the ability to travel extensively, including out-of-state assignments for periods exceeding three weeks per month. **


Technical Support & Service:

  • Perform scheduled and emergency installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electronic equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and electronic system issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Replace defective components and verify proper system operation following repairs.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and end-users.
  • Assist customers with equipment troubleshooting and operational questions.


Project & Field Operations:

  • Plan service activities and determine material, equipment, and replacement part requirements.
  • Develop efficient repair strategies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communicate project status, technical issues, and resolutions to management.
  • Serve as a project lead when assigned, coordinating activities and representing the team to customers and management.
  • Install, configure, and uninstall software applications on Windows-based computers.


Customer Service:

  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries and technical concerns.
  • Research technical documentation and manuals to provide accurate solutions.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships while delivering high-quality service.


Education & Experience:

  • Associate Degree (AA) in Electronics or equivalent technical experience required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in field technical support, electronics repair, or customer service environments.
  • Previous experience providing technical support directly to customers.
  • Experience leading projects or supervising technicians is preferred.


Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, electrical theory, and troubleshooting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Windows 10 required.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2008–2019 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of company products and systems is advantageous.


Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licenses and other required jurisdictional certifications.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including out-of-state assignments for periods exceeding three weeks per month.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
