    Job Description

    Position Summary

The Technical Architect - Workday is responsible for guiding Workday's technical strategy across Integrations, Prism Analytics, and Reporting at Stream Realty Partners. This role oversees the design, delivery, and governance of Workday technical solutions, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives and serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical matters.

The Technical Architect acts as the bridge between functional BSMs and technical developers, facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical resources. This individual ensures solution integrity across the Workday technical landscape, provides strategic direction for integration architecture and data management, and drives continuous improvement of the platform's technical capabilities.

Working in close partnership with the Business Solutions Managers for Financials and HCM, the Technical Architect ensures that all technical components - integrations, data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and extensibility solutions - are designed and maintained with rigor, scalability, and operational reliability.

    1. Technical Strategy & Roadmap

Collaborate with business leadership and Workday BSMs to define and maintain the roadmap and strategy for Workday technical capabilities, including Integrations, Extend, Prism Analytics, Reporting, and potentially Sana.

Oversee end-to-end delivery of Workday technical solutions and platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise IT direction.

Align technical strategy with business priorities, platform capabilities, and the Workday release calendar.

Identify opportunities to leverage new Workday technical features, extensibility options, and platform enhancements.

Provide IT leadership with portfolio-level status reporting, technical risk assessments, and capacity forecasting for the Workday technical portfolio.

    2. Integration Architecture & Oversight

Design, oversee, and maintain the Workday integration architecture, including EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, and Workday Studio integrations.

Guide internal and third-party Integrations and Prism developers on design patterns, coding standards, and technical best practices.

Ensure solution integrity across all integration points, validating data flows, error handling, and performance characteristics.

Facilitate conversations between technical and non-technical resources, translating business requirements into sound technical specifications.

Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues across integrations, Prism, and reporting.

Coordinate with middleware and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi) where applicable to ensure seamless connectivity.

    3. Prism Analytics & Data Management

Oversee the design and maintenance of Workday Prism Analytics data pipelines, including data sourcing, data preparation, and data publishing within the Workday tenant.

Ensure the integrity of Prism data models, transformation logic, and published datasets used for dashboards and advanced reporting.

Establish standards for data lineage documentation, transformation logic, and dataset dependency management.

Assess downstream reporting impacts when modifying datasets and ensure data quality, reconciliation, and validation standards are met.

Determine appropriate use cases for Prism Analytics versus Workday reporting or external BI tools.

    4. Reporting & Analytics Oversight

Oversee the Workday reporting framework, including custom report development, dashboard creation, and calculated field management.

Establish and enforce reporting policies, controls, and secure access standards.

Coordinate with functional teams to translate analytical requirements into structured data solutions and reporting artifacts.

Ensure reporting architecture supports cross-functional needs across Financials, HCM, and Security domains.

    5. Governance & Technical Standards

Establish and maintain governance structures across integrations, data, extensibility, and reporting to support effective decision-making and platform integrity.

Manage governance processes to ensure technical solutions adhere to Stream's IT policies, security requirements, and data standards.

Oversee tenant migration processes for technical artifacts (integrations, Prism datasets, reports) across Sandbox, Preview, and Production environments.

Coordinate with the Release Manager to ensure technical changes are properly tested, scheduled, and deployed.

Assess the impact of Workday release cycles on integration models, Prism data structures, and reporting artifacts.

    6. Solution Delivery & Team Coordination

Lead cross-functional technical delivery teams through integration development, Prism analytics builds, and reporting initiatives.

Manage or coordinate work of internal and third-party integration developers, Prism developers, and report analysts supporting the Workday platform.

Specialize in technical configurations and serve as the subject matter expert for Workday's technical architecture.

Provide mentorship, work direction, and performance input for direct or matrixed technical team members.

Coordinate with vendor partners and managed service providers on technical deliverables and knowledge transfer.

    7. Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary IT liaison and escalation point for Workday technical matters across all functional domains.

Align with stakeholders across IT, Finance, HR, and business units to ensure technical capabilities support enterprise objectives.

Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and portfolio review sessions with Business Solutions Managers and Application Product Owners.

Manage resource allocation across internal technical team members, contractors, and vendor partners.

    Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of progressive experience with Workday technical capabilities, including Integrations, Prism Analytics, and Reporting.

In-depth knowledge of Workday Extend, Integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio), Prism Analytics, and reporting frameworks.

Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Workday technical solutions across multiple functional domains.

Proficiency with Workday Web Services (WWS), REST/SOAP APIs, and integration design patterns.

Knowledge of programming languages and scripting, such as XSLT, Java, and XML.

Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.

Strong understanding of data flows, security, and performance considerations across Workday technical components.

Understanding of data transformation concepts, including joins, unions, calculated fields, aggregations, and data cleansing techniques.

Strong understanding of business objectives and how technical solutions support and align with strategic goals in a commercial real estate environment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical strategies, priorities, and updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, workstreams, and resource allocation.

Workday Pro certification in Integrations, Prism, or Reporting preferred.

Experience in commercial real estate or professional services industry preferred.
