POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and tracking of all processing, and equipment job setup.
  • Lead scrap and downtime reduction efforts on shift.
  • Maintain all processes within established parameters and approve all changes made during your shift on the 906.
  • Initiate and approve all jobs are set up in compliance with the 906 & 901.
  • Ensure effective consumption of regrind is considered when applicable.
  • Continual communication with Production staff to ensure runtime is in line with scheduled production.
  • Report all downtime, job change problems, process, and out of control conditions occurring during the shift to the production staff / Technical Manager.
  • Other assignments as designated by the Technical Manager.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards.
  • Must be trusted by subordinates, peers, and superiors, and must be willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Technical Manager, as well as with other staff members and production personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills of both the interpersonal and the technical side of the operation.
  • Organized and structured approach to the work environment, with strong attention to details.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to handle stressful employee situations, and to treat people with respect.
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
  • Must have a strong background in injection molding processing. Setup and maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to drive forklift.
