GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Business Relationship Manager, to join our GCOM Software Team located in Leonia, NJ.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Project/Business Relationship Management duties for high risk / high value client projects or as needed
  • Oversee day to day management of their assigned client accounts.
  • Submits requirements to client to maintain relationship.
  • Works with Staffing Director to establish performance metrics and sends weekly/monthly status reports documenting progress.
  • Works with recruiting team to ensure best candidate is presented to client.
  • Coordinate contract/project transition from Business Development to Delivery
  • Conduct Monthly Contract Reviews with client
  • Provide guidance and direction for assigned project staff
  • Prepare and submit status reports as required for projects/accounts
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Works with subcontractors and recruiters to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Manage contract financials including profit and loss (P& L), expenses, and revenue approval/recognition
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization
  • Demonstrate expertise on contract requirements and provide guidance to necessary support personnel
  • Work with Contracts group to ensure proper contract administration, including task orders, change orders, modifications, and renewals
  • Ensure compliance with minority business enterprise (MBE), security, and other contract requirements
  • Review and approve timesheets for contract personnel
  • Work with the business development staff, as appropriate, to win re-competes of existing work, capture upsell opportunities with existing clients, and pursue net-new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a network of companies to partner with (as a prime contractor or subcontractor) in the pursuit of business opportunities
  • Participate in proposal development, including providing content, project scoping, and level of effort assessments and participating in proposal reviews as needed
  • Participate in opportunities to learn about technical initiatives aligned with company strategy
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Five or more years of experience required in a similar role, with at least three years of experience managing IT related projects
  • Proven experience in managing staffing and schedules
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments, delegating as appropriate
  • Ability to interact with clients, contractors, recruiters, applicants, company employees
  • Work independently, without hands-on supervision
  • Detail oriented
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience working with NYC Government, preferably in an IT related capacity
