About the role

As Crane OEM Account Manager you would drive specification and long-term growth of Bridon steel rope solutions within OEM crane manufacturers in North America.

Act as the key commercial and technical interface, influencing early-stage design decisions and securing preferred platform positions. Deliver sustainable growth through a combination of technical expertise, strategic account management, and project development.

 Your Impact as Crane OEM Account Manager

  • Own and develop strategic relationships with OEM crane manufacturers across North America, driving platform penetration and long-term agreements.
  • Lead specification activities by partnering with OEM engineering teams to position Bridon as the preferred technical solution.
  • Work directly with OEM engineering teams to redesign rope systems to increase safety and performance. Introduce advanced technologies (rotation-resistant ropes, high-performance designs, etc.)
  • Influence early-stage design and new product development to embed Bekaert solutions into future crane platforms.
  • Act as a technical-commercial partner, supporting testing, validation, and optimization of rope systems (safety, performance, TCO).
  • Identify and develop strategic crane-related projects (infrastructure, ports, energy, industrial, defense). Work with EPCs, Architectural firms & key infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Deliver commercial growth by expanding share of wallet, converting competitors, and developing pricing and partnership strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Segment leader, Technical & Quality teams, Operations supply, chain and Business Development to ensure end-to-end execution from specification to delivery.
  • Monitor OEM platform trends, crane design changes, and industry developments. Track competitor activity within OEM accounts.
  • Provide structured insights on: Platform changes, Technology shifts and Pricing dynamics
About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or technical commercial roles.
  • Industry experience in Crane OEMs, Automotive, or project-based environments; experience with steel ropes is a strong advantage.
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to build and maintain long-term strategic relationships.
  • Proven negotiation, pricing, and commercial decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience handling complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Analytical skills in market assessment, opportunity identification, and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including forecasting, reporting, and activity tracking.
  • Financial discipline in managing travel and entertainment budgets.
  • High level of adaptability, willingness to travel up to 40% across North America (US, Canada, Mexico).
