Job Description

Role: M&A IT Project Manager (Consultant)

Duration: 9 months contract Remote

Location: United States

We are seeking a hands-on M&A IT Project Manager to drive a complex, multi-phase integration program. This role requires someone who can own execution, coordinate across technical and business teams, and keep multiple workstreams moving against critical milestones.

  • Start Date: July 6, 2026
  • End Date: March 31, 2027, with possible extension based on project needs

Ideal candidates will have strong IT project management experience (8+ years), preferably in M&A integrations or complex technology delivery programs, with strong planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication skills. Please prioritize candidates who can lead parallel workstreams, operate in regulated or time-sensitive environments, and coordinate across infrastructure, cloud, collaboration, and end-user computing teams. Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migration or coexistence experience a definite plus. This is not a coordinator role; we need someone pragmatic, organized, and execution-oriented who can drive delivery, escalate appropriately, and keep stakeholders aligned.

The role can be 100% remote but must be able to work EDT hours.

Consultant Summary

We are seeking a hands-on M&A IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end integration activities across complex M&A transactions. This is a delivery-focused role requiring someone who can own and drive multi-phase integrations involving multiple entities, with a strong focus on execution, coordination, and delivery against critical milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution across complex, phased M&A IT integration programs, with direct ownership of delivery outcomes
  • Translate business and technical objectives into structured, actionable project and integration plans
  • Build and manage detailed plans spanning multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Partner closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users throughout the integration lifecycle
  • Proactively manage dependencies, remove blockers, and drive actions through to completion
  • Maintain RAID logs and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, including cross-workstream impacts
  • Escalate when required and take pragmatic steps to keep delivery on track
  • Provide clear, structured status reporting to stakeholders and leadership
  • Align stakeholders and support timely decision-making across all phases of the integration
  • Ensure delivery complies with internal standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of IT project management background, including M&A integrations or large-scale technology initiatives
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple parallel workstreams with complex interdependencies
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and end-user computing environments
  • Track record of leading phased, multi-entity integrations or similarly complex delivery efforts
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical teams, business leadership, and end users
  • Solid project governance capabilities, including planning, tracking, RAID management, and reporting
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Planner, or similar)
  • Clear, concise communication style suited for executive and cross-functional audiences

Nice to Have

  • Background supporting delivery in regulated or time-sensitive environments
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations or coexistence scenarios, including identity, email, and collaboration transitions
