SUMMARY

The Technical Product Manager is entrusted with spearheading the development and success of the organization's technical products. This pivotal role demands a strategic visionary who can adeptly navigate the intersection of technology, market needs, and business objectives. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineering teams, the Technical Product Manager defines and communicates the technical product vision, orchestrates the product roadmap, and ensures seamless execution of engineering initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and communicate the technical product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core enterprise SaaS platform components, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall engineering goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, engineering teams, and other cross-functional teams, to gather technical requirements and feedback.
  • Prioritize technical features and requirements based on engineering feasibility, market needs, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical product documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and API documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to oversee technical product development, ensuring alignment with the technical roadmap and desired outcomes.
  • Monitor technical product performance, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for product enhancements and new technical product development.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop technical product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical product management or a related field, building configurable enterprise solutions, preferably at a B2B SaaS or Life Sciences company
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and product development methodologies and processes, including Agile and Lean.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across an organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful technical products in a fast-paced, competitive market.
  • Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their potential impact on technical product development.
  • Understanding of data analytics and its application to technical product management.
  • Understanding of software validation processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance in the life sciences industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of computer equipment or other objects up to 25 pounds may be required.
