About the Role
We're seeking a People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner to join our team in Plainfield, IN. This is a highly collaborative, site-based role requiring 4+ days per week on-site with our Operations team.
While the role is strategic, success depends on strong day-to-day connection to site operations, workforce dynamics, and frontline leadership. You'll play a key role in shaping a high-performing, engaged workforce by aligning people strategies with business needs. Reporting to the Business Partner Manager, you'll partner closely with leaders across Operations, Recruiting, Talent Development, and Total Rewards to drive initiatives that support organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and business performance.

Strategic Partnership & Coaching
  • Partner with site and cross-functional leaders to align people strategies with business goals
  • Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and development practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for employee guidance and support
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Lead thorough, impartial investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws (e.g., FMLA, LOA), and company standards
  • Manage documentation audits, employee records, and unemployment claims
People Programs & Operations
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Administer HRIS transactions (e.g., org changes, terminations) and manage P&C systems
  • Oversee rehire eligibility processes and maintain accurate records
  • Manage the P&C inbox, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution
Data, Insights & Process Improvement
  • Analyze people metrics (engagement, turnover, performance) to inform decisions
  • Evaluate and improve HR programs, policies, and processes using data insights
  • Partner cross-functionally on process improvements and special projects
Training & Development
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance workforce capability and performance
  • Support leaders and employees through development and growth initiatives

Experience:
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 2+ years handling complex employee relations and leading investigations end-to-end
  • Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt populations (warehouse, retail, or fulfillment preferred)

Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law (FMLA, LOA, etc.)
  • Experience using HR systems and data to drive insights and decisions

Skills & Mindset:
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Sound judgment with a high level of discretion and integrity
  • Curious, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary and benefits. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation-including a candidate's professional background, experience, location, and performance. Salary Range
$59,300-$79,000 USD
