Provide technical support and assistance to distributors in a defined geographic area for egg and poultry equipment they purchase from Chore-Time.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role
  1. Train growers and distributors on Chore-Time full product line, includes but not limited to ventilation products, controls, feeding systems, watering systems, nesting and heating products. 10%
  2. Work with distributors to provide warranty support for CTB Products, strive to be fair but firm and maintain proper documentation. 5%
  3. Support Sales/Engineering Staff by conducting new product introductions with schools, training on site and follow-up service. 15%
  4. Learn and apply written and verbal communications by using proper documentation to report from the field with concise reporting forms currently used at CTB. 10%
  5. Attend functions to support or represent Chore-Time such as trade shows, open house, or local and state poultry meetings. 5%
  6. Develop professional phone skills to better assist growers, and distributors with trouble shooting by phone. 35%
  7. Respond to Integrator requests for training and support with manuals, mini seminars or specialized schools for Chore-Time products. 10%
  8. Provide required documentation and reports, Product Action Form, Warranty requests, Expense Forms, Activities. 5%
  9. Maintain company owned service truck and provided tools and test equipment in top shape. 5%

Position Requirements:
  1. Education: BS degree or 4 years of technical service experience and public relations equivalent
  2. Experience: Technical service troubleshooting, public relations, planning, coordinating
  3. Certification(s):  
  4. Functional Skills: Customer service and public relations experience a plus; strong organization skills; ability to understand or learn circuitry, computer networking, and local network setup; electronic, electrical, and ventilation controls experience a plus; solid mechanical aptitude that is detailed and analytically needed.
  5. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office; some knowledge of communications - based computer software, apps, and server installations. Ability to use technology for onsite and virtual training and problem solving. 
  6. Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to train and help others with mechanical problems.
  7. Leadership/Behaviors: Solid collaboration skills internally and externally. Ability to listen to ideas and implement the best enhancements. Ability to learn quickly, have high energy to be self-driven, is positive, can conceptualize, and initiate projects effectively. Versatility and flexibility are key to perform various portions of multitasking across projects and issues.

Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:
  • Ability to sit and operate motorized equipment as needed for the role
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate hand tools/equipment and machinery as needed throughout the day
  • Ability to stand for up to 7+ hours a day
  • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen for up to 2+ hours per day
  • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow for 2+ hours per day
  • Cognitive and reasoning ability to read, review and interpret work orders or processes on a frequent basis
  • Ability to read and respond on an on-going basis daily due to nature of the work
  • Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer on-going 
  • Ability to listen to others, problem-solve, and respond accordingly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, crouch, twist, push, pull, and carry items frequently

Environmental Conditions & Travel:

-         The employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment where the noise level is moderate to high and personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toed shoes are required.

-         This position may face exposure to some high-heat areas, variances in temperature, exposure to smells, fumes, working around mechanical parts.

-         Travel: Limited
