What is a Technical Order?

A Technical Order (TO) is an official document that provides detailed instructions, procedures, and information required for the operation, maintenance, repair, or modification of equipment, systems, or aircraft, primarily within military and aerospace contexts. These documents ensure that users perform tasks correctly and safely, often including step-by-step guidance, diagrams, and safety warnings. Technical Orders are essential for standardizing maintenance procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations. They are regularly updated to reflect technological changes and operational requirements.
