RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Manager, Technical Imaging Operations to join our team. As a Manager, Technical Imaging Operations, you will beresponsible for managing the technical operations of multiple centers and integrated hospital partnerships, including overall planning, team member leadership, budget management, maintaining relationships with referring groups, and on-going customer service functions. This leadership role collaborates with the Director of Operations and Hospital Partner Imaging Services Management team on the overall direction and strategic planning required to meet quality and operational goals (i.e. efficiency, productivity, costs, etc.) for assigned center(s).This is a full-time position traveling within the Milwaukee market, typically Wauwatosa, Menomonee Falls, Mequon and West Bend.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


(50%) Center/Hospital Partnership Technical Imaging Operations

  1. Responsible for strategic operations, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and overall service and effectiveness of the assigned modality section/s; collaborate with the various assigned radiologists, hospital imaging services leaders, and management
  2. Operate in a matrixed management structure across Rayus Radiology and hospital partnership
  3. Remain visible at centers and understand the center's team member engagement level and workload
  4. Implement programs, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care and maintaining sound technical imaging operations
  5. Analyze the operations of assigned hospital partnerships and centers related to team member coverage and schedules, utilization of facilities, equipment, supplies, recommending and implementing best practice solutions and changes
  6. Develop and manage budgets for technical imaging operations(s), recommending financial decisions for the hospital partnership
  7. Prepare hospital capital budget requests, draft operating budgets; analyze results and monitor adherence to budget
  8. Monitor the performance and profitability of services offered
  9. Provide ongoing and timely communication to management, hospital partner management, and team members regarding overall technical imaging and team member performance, events, issues, etc.
  10. Interface with Radiologists to create and maintain up-to-date protocol manuals for all modalities
  11. Partner with RAYUS sales team, providing technical imaging operations and insights
  12. Administer quality programs and meet or exceed key quality and productivity measures in patient service, customer (referral) service, clinical programs, and administrative functions
  13. Maintain a safe environment for patients, technologists, radiologists, and other center and hospital partner team members with the assistance of the Hospital MRSO, Physicists and Implant Safety Team
  14. Responsible for Joint Commission compliance
(45%) Team Member Management
  1. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and abilities, remaining approachable and objective
  2. Manage all hiring and retention processes, responsible for initial and ongoing training of new & existing team members
  3. Initiate and participate in team member performance evaluations, compensation, and development, and conduct performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and/or up to termination if necessary
  4. Facilitate and lead regular team meetings and team member one-on-one (1:1) meeting's with each direct report team member and ensure your direct report leaders are doing the same.
  5. Mentor and support team members, encouraging a culture of collaboration, systems excellence, accountability, healthy team dynamics and continuous learning and improvement
  6. Create and effectively communicate clear role expectations, operating rhythms, and development pathways that strengthen functional expertise, problem-solving capability, and leadership maturity.
  7. Consistently develop team members for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development
  8. Build and maintain a culture of ownership, resilience, collaboration, and RAYUS Core Values.
  9. Understand the impact of your words and/or behaviors on others
  10. Promote an environment that encourages knowledge sharing
  11. Mentor and collaborate with Chief Technologists to effectively build high performing and engaged teams
  12. Proactively work to build a strong bench of talent and future leaders.
  13. Mentor both second and first-level managers to support their growth and leadership development
  14. Ensure all technologists are compliant with CEU (continuing education) credits, in good standing with appropriate registries, updated with CPR credits, etc.
  15. Implement strategies to promote teamwork within the center and market
(5%) Other Duties and Projects as Assigned

Required:

  1. High school diploma, or equivalent
  2. Associate degree and/or certification/license in at least one of the following:
    • Certified Radiologic technologist, current and in good standing
      • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist; current and in good standing;
      • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), or an accredited program certified by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT)
    • Registered Sonographer ARDMS Sonographer, current and in good standing;
      • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer; graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
      • Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.)
    • Registered Nurse (RN) License, current and in good standing
  3. Five (5) years' direct (hands on) diagnostic imagining, or nursing experience
  4. One (1) year of experience supervising/managing a team of direct reports; may consider three (3) years of Lead Technologist experience in lieu of direct team supervision/management - if determined to be relevant and applicable.
  5. Ability to work extended or irregular hours, based on business need, without notice
  6. Proficient using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite; Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  7. Some travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required.
  8. Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's degree in health science, health administration, or related field
  2. Seven (7) years' medical experience in an out-patient radiology imaging setting
  3. Three (3) years' experience managing a team of direct reports
  4. EPIC systems software
