Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Operations Technician to provide advanced technical support and operational assistance. This role focuses on resolving Level 2 support issues, managing complex service requests, building and configuring systems, and supporting key IT products and projects.

This position is ideal for someone who combines hands-on technical expertise with strong organizational skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve escalated Level 2 support tickets while meeting SLA expectations
  • Manage and fulfill complex technical service requests
  • Build, configure, and deploy systems (workstations, network equipment, cameras, servers, printers)
  • Perform on-site and remote service calls to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Oversee end-user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring smooth transitions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including audits and equipment tracking
  • Handle shipping and receiving of IT hardware and components
  • Take ownership of assigned products, including documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in custom and templated IT projects, executing assigned tasks
  • Join on-call rotation to support after-hours critical issues

Qualifications

  • Associateโ€™s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support or IT operations role
  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Networking fundamentals
  • System configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to travel to client sites
