About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our International Technology team as an International Technical Lead based in Miami, FL. The Technical Lead will play a key role in driving and supporting technology projects across the Subway's international regions, coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams for project development activities and providing ongoing operational support to "keep the lights on." This role will collaborate closely with architecture teams to guide detailed solution implementations for large-scale projects and ensure alignment across enterprise development teams. The Technical Lead will lead detailed application solutioning and technical issue resolution in partnership with Solution Architecture, internal software engineering leaders, and external solution partners to ensure the successful delivery of complex initiatives. They will provide support for operational issues across technologies including consumer-facing and back-of-house systems. Additionally, this role will partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to align on scope, requirements, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architecture teams or work independently where required to design and implement end-to-end technical solutions. Apply hands-on development expertise using modern technologies, including AI-driven tools and frameworks, to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
  • Support and help resolve operational issues in collaboration with global Tech teams, acting as an escalation point for Level 1 support teams to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
  • Align with stakeholders (internal and external) on scope and requirements for large scale projects. Drive detailed technical discovery across cross-discipline team to identify requirements gaps upfront in the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate to senior leadership stakeholders on technical status, issue, and recommendations for resolution. Drive remediation plans to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.
  • 8+ years experience developing production software.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting, solutioning, delivering, coding, maintaining, and securing enterprise technology solutions using both custom-built and vendor-packaged applications.
  • Proven experience in a Technical Delivery Lead or equivalent role, successfully driving large-scale, complex application initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise software engineering projects through the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong background in modern software engineering and product development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud platforms (primarily AWS and/or Azure). Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON parsing. Ability to test and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and JSON integrations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Adaptability: Comfortable with switching between technical tasks, coordination, and analysis. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies and analyzes complex issues, gathers and evaluates data from multiple sources, develops practical solutions, and makes informed decisions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Preferred: Fluency in Spanish
