Job description

OVERVIEW

Bastille is seeking a Technical Director focused on Professional Services, Solution Architecture, Customer Deployments, and Technical Enablement for enterprise commercial customers.

This role is ideal for highly technical individuals who enjoy working directly with customers to design, deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize complex cybersecurity and wireless security solutions. The Technical Director serves as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, helping organizations successfully operationalize Bastille's platform within enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity expertise with hands-on deployment experience and customer-facing consulting skills. This is a highly technical role centered around architecture, implementation, integration, and customer success — not a quota-carrying sales position.

This position works closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Technical Support teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions across wireless, IoT, RF, and cybersecurity environments.

Bastille provides full visibility into cellular, mobile, wireless, and IoT devices operating within enterprise airspace — collectively known as the Internet of Radios. Through patented software-defined radio and machine learning technologies, Bastille detects, identifies, and localizes wireless threats across WiFi, Bluetooth, BLE, cellular, and IoT environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead customer-facing technical engagements including architecture workshops, deployment planning, implementation, and operational enablement
  • Design and deploy integrated Bastille solutions within enterprise customer environments
  • Perform onsite and remote installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization activities
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor during deployment and post-deployment phases
  • Work directly with customer engineering, networking, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption
  • Develop deployment architectures, implementation strategies, and operational best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex networking, infrastructure, wireless, and RF-related issues
  • Support integration of Bastille solutions with customer infrastructure, security platforms, and operational workflows
  • Deliver technical workshops, administrator training, and operational handoff sessions
  • Provide technical escalation support for customer deployments and production environments
  • Participate in proof-of-concept deployments, pilot projects, and advanced technical evaluations
  • Create and maintain deployment documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical implementation guides
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate field feedback, deployment challenges, and feature enhancement recommendations
  • Identify opportunities to improve deployment methodologies, operational scalability, and customer experience
  • Maintain deep technical expertise across networking, cybersecurity, Linux systems, virtualization, wireless technologies, and RF environments
  • Contribute to the evolution of deployment standards, implementation practices, and customer enablement processes
  • Travel to customer locations as required for deployment and technical engagement activities
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Solutions Architecture, Deployment Engineering, Technical Consulting, Sales Engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customer technical teams
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking and cybersecurity concepts
  • Experience supporting production customer environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-system technical issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
