Quick Summary:

Consider this: Our New Business Development Manager works on some of the most important projects in the medical market segment with focus on Drug Delivery Combination Devices at Kimball Electronics, further diversifying the contract manufacturing organization (CMO) services we provide through developing relationships with new prospective customers while identifying and landing new opportunities. As New Business Manager, you will contribute to our company's success by communicating Kimball's "Package of Value" and executing strategic plans to develop and maintain long term relationships in the medical market vertical and in particular in the area of Drug Delivery

Combination Products with New and existing OEM customers. You will have the opportunity to further your leadership skills by working with all levels of the organization, while traveling globally to ensure a common look and feel for our customers.

Basic Requirements:

If you are a driven individual looking to be a leader in the world of medical device assembly, drug delivery systems and contract manufacturing, and if you enjoy connecting customers to opportunities, then seriously consider becoming our next New Business Development Manager. We're going to give a bit of preference to those with a broad knowledge of contract manufacturing services with experience in the area of Injection Molding, Combination Drug Delivery Device assembly and/or technical training, but will also consider someone who has demonstrated a high level of performance in program management, business development, negotiation, using effective marketing strategies, building long term relationships, and leading teams that support Combination Drug Delivery Device assembly.

Key Performance Objectives

Short Term: (0 to 6 months)

  • Learn and adopt Kimball Electronics philosophies and culture

  • Develop an understanding of the Kimball new customer development model, proposal development as well as the quote development process

  • Own and drive Periodic Business Reviews (PBR), Scorecard, Action Plans

  • Develop new customer Strategy statements

  • Learn and build a rapport with key personnel at new customer locations through regular onsite visits

  • Develop and present proposals and other presentations to address new prospective customer needs

  • Develop relationships across new prospective customer organizations

  • Learn and understand key capabilities of each Kimball Electronics facility

Assume responsibility for new project launch activities

  • Begin the prospecting process of opportunities with assigned prospective accounts

Midterm: (6 to 18 months)

  • Becoming efficient in the tools we use to manage our accounts using: Business Warehouse, forecast management, ERP system, CRM tools and our Quote Model

  • Development of productivity project plans and profitability reviews

  • Understanding and learning to work within the customers' processes such as S&OP, E&O claims, AR, and Internal scorecards

  • Identify and lead business development improvement processes

  • Assume complete ownership of the customer account assignment

Longer Term: (>18 months)

  • Create and drive actions for continued growth to ensure profitability, positive cash flow, on time AR etc.

  • Create and drive a productivity project plan for each customer assignment

  • Drive the customer management model per Kimball philosophy
