About the Role

Our Technical Data Analysts seek a dynamic and meaningful profession within an entrepreneurial company that offers the opportunity to make a material impact as a domain expert. Technical Data Analysts are invigorated by high-performing environments and want to apply their technical skills and energy to develop innovative solutions for our clients and our firm.

Responsibilities

Technical Data Analysts participate in a variety of analysis, design, development and implementation roles in support of our client projects and our proprietary software products. Technical Data Analysts work within collaborative teams and perform a range of value-adding activities including:

●       structured research, analysis presentation creation

●       requirements gathering and user story creation

●       data engineering and integration

●       data profiling, analysis and mapping

●       agile design, development and testing

Qualifications

Ideal candidates offer:

●       2 - 4  years of experience in financial services project environments for data management and analytics initiatives within private equity / private markets, capital markets, banking, or investment institutions

●       Experience with AI Tools for research, analysis, presentations and coding (Claude, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, etc)

●       Solid technical skills including working experience with several of the following: SQL, Python, R, Java, JavaScript, REST, JSON, dbt

●       Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Fabric, ADLS, Synapse, Purview; AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda; Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog; Snowflake Data Warehouse

●       Experience with several of the following topics:  Data Engineering, Data Modeling, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Operations, Data Discovery, Data Profiling, Data Quality, Data Catalogs and Metadata Management, Data Ontology, Metadata Management, KPI Dashboards and Visualization, ETL/ELT, Data Architecture

●       Experience with requirements and user story documentation

●       Experience with data visualization using tools such as PowerBI and Tableau

●       Familiarity with financial services data domains such as Securities, Client, Product, Market Data, Corporate Actions, Holdings, Transactions 

●       Familiarity with AI use cases and models involving GenAI/LLMs, ML, NLP

Required Education and Work Location

●       Accredited undergraduate degree (majors in Computer Science, Management Information Systems  and related disciplines preferred)

●       Advanced degrees and or certifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related disciplines a plus

●       Available to work onshore in the US
