POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Data Specialist will serve as the primary technical gatekeeper between the sales phase and the manufacturing process. They will ensure the integrity of custom truck builds by conducting rigorous technical audits, validating pricing accuracy, and resolving complex configuration conflicts. By acting as the bridge between internal engineering teams and the dealer network, this individual ensures that every specification is "production-ready" before it hits the factory floor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer's Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Collaborate closely with internal teams and dealer networks to develop precise, "clean" technical specifications for custom truck builds.
  2. Review and validate pricing structures for 100% accuracy before final submission.
  3. Conduct thorough technical audits (scrubs) of all specifications, identifying and resolving configuration conflicts or errors.
  4. Author and distribute formal change orders, ensuring all modifications are documented and tracked throughout the pre-production phase.
  5. Manage a strategic feedback loop with the pre-sales team to identify recurring issues found during the scrub process and implement long-term preventive solutions.
  6. Lead the migration of technical data by converting Quote Writer files into specialized Excel formats to support downstream manufacturing, engineering, and procurement departments.
  7. Act as the primary support for the Quote Writer team, providing troubleshooting and guidance when complex issues arise during the scrub process.
  8. Serve as the central point of contact for dealers regarding specification updates, ensuring clear communication and professional conflict resolution.
  9. Perform additional duties as required by management to support evolving business needs and project deadlines.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate's degree in business administration or communication preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales or customer service experience required.
  • 2+ years of administrative support experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Able to find, read, and interpret relevant business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
