Job description

Join a dynamic team delivering complex construction projects as a Site MEP Technical Coordinator - Electrical. This role is essential in bridging owner project requirements with onsite activities, ensuring seamless coordination, quality assurance, and successful commissioning of electrical systems. The position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge electrical and basic mechanical/control systems, while collaborating closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and owner representatives. Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate installation methods for electrical systems, ensuring alignment with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Verify compliance and quality of installations through regular inspections and documentation.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for owner representatives, subcontractors, field service representatives, and commissioning agents to facilitate issue resolution and maintain project schedules.
  • Drive commissioning readiness, including pre-functional checks and load-soak preparation, and maintain structured reporting throughout the process.
  • Lead field documentation efforts using Procore, including managing punch lists, performing PTP verifications, and conducting safety walkdowns (LOTO/PPE).
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as photos, checklists, and punch items, and communicate project status and risks to leadership and customers.
  • Act as the onsite point-of-contact in the absence of project leadership, escalating issues as needed to keep the project on track.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for electrical systems and basic mechanical/control interfaces.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of construction experience, with a focus on electrical systems preferred.
  • Completion of 2 years of trade school or college, or equivalent journeyman experience.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Adobe/PDF editing tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, and switchgear systems, with exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within North America as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as part of regular site activities.
  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire); Schneider PME certification is a plus.
