Job description

Join a dynamic construction team as a Site Superintendent, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all field activities and physical construction on assigned projects. As the on-site leader, you will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities
  • Oversee all field operations and physical construction activities on the project site.
  • Maintain and monitor the project schedule, collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Scheduler.
  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards and is completed efficiently.
  • Understand and enforce project contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor purchase orders.
  • Verify completion of work for subcontractor and vendor invoicing and secure lien releases.
  • Obtain and manage all necessary permits, including hot work permits.
  • Prepare and distribute daily logs and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule inspections, testing, and surveying as required.
  • Lead regular construction meetings and prepare meeting agendas.
  • Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols.
  • Develop and maintain a site utilization plan to optimize workflow and logistics.
  • Identify and address scope gaps or duplications in subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Request and review change order scopes and costs from subcontractors.
  • Provide site safety training and conduct weekly "Tool talks" to promote a safe work environment.
  • Direct and support company field staff as needed.
  • Work with the Project Site Engineer to ensure all project information is accurately loaded into project management software.
  • Prepare daily reports, job diaries, and other required documentation.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, schedules, and field operations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively plan, coordinate, and manage multiple tasks and teams.
  • Commitment to enforcing safety and quality standards on site.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and documentation processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
