This vacancy announcement will be used to fill multiple Technical Assistant vacancies in multiple offices at the NRC.
This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements and security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
This job opportunity announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies.Qualifications:In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: demonstrated experience providing support, advice, and guidance on program or policy planning, strategic planning, or performance management; analyzing and evaluating issues to manage and advance projects; and coordinating with other organizations (internal or external) to accomplish a range of activities, such as program management, resource assessment, scheduling, program evaluation, and policy development.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  1. Ability to work effectively with other division or office representatives in coordinating effort and building consensus.
  2. Demonstrated ability to communicate information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing, for a variety of complex matters and stakeholder audiences.
  3. Analytical ability sufficient to plan, organize, and perform a variety of program and administrative management functions and activities involving competing priorities and deadlines.
  4. Knowledge or demonstrated ability to learn budgeting principles, performance management, develop and/or manage human capital programs and staffing strategies, and ability to manage business processes.
