Job description

X-Ray Technologist (Contract)

Location: NY 14642
Pay: $2,230 – $2,500/week
Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST
Additional: No call, no holidays


Position Summary & Responsibilities
  • Independently perform radiographic procedures, including injections/ablations of the spine

  • Prepare patient, room, equipment, and contrast materials; explain procedures

  • Operate radiographic equipment safely; maintain low radiation dose

  • Utilize HIS/PACS/RIS software; maintain accurate patient records

  • Observe patient and equipment during procedures; report unusual occurrences

  • Clean/disinfect rooms and equipment; maintain stock and perform general office duties

  • Active movement required: standing, sitting, pivoting, walking


Requirements
  • NYS Radiologic Technologist license (any accepted Tech license in NY) – Required

  • ARRT certification – Required

  • 2 years X-ray tech experience – Required

  • BLS (AHA) – Required

  • Knowledge of anatomy, radiographic positioning, contrast use, radiation safety

  • C-arm procedure experience preferred

  • Comfortable in OR-like environment, interacting with nurses and providers
