DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Technology Director, Finance ERP (A2R)

located in Raritan, New Jersey, or West Chester, Pennsylvania, or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, or Raynham Massachusetts, or Warsaw, Indiana

Job Overview

This role provides strategic and operational leadership for enterprise finance applications supporting Tax, Treasury, and Controllership across DePuy Synthes.

The Director will be accountable for ensuring stable, compliant, and scalable application platforms that enableaccuratefinancial reporting, effective cash and risk management, and regulatory compliance.

This position plays a critical role in shaping the futurestate finance technology landscape as DePuy Synthes progresses toward becoming a standalone organization, working closely with Finance and IT leaders to deliver measurable business value through technology, and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for enterprise finance applications supportingAccounting,Tax, Treasury, and ControllershipA2Rprocesses

  • Partner with Finance leadership to translate business strategies and regulatory requirements into scalable application roadmaps and solutions.

  • Lead the planning, design,implementationand transformation of core finance A2R processes and systems including but not limited to SAP S/4 Finance, SAP Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, and Kyriba.

  • Ensure reliable delivery, availability, and performance of core finance systems, including financial close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and treasury operationswhile meeting critical Day 1 and TSA exit separation objectives

  • Leadapplicationlifecycle management activities, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and rationalization initiatives.

  • Oversee thirdparty vendors and system integrators, ensuring quality delivery, cost control, and adherence to servicelevel agreements.

  • Establish and enforce application governance, controls, and documentation to support audit readiness, data integrity, and compliance obligations.

  • Develop, mentor, and lead a highperforming team of IT professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives, including operating model changes, system separations, and finance process standardization.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degreerequired, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, ora relateddiscipline.

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 10-12years of progressive experience in Finance Systems, including leadership at the manager or director level.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise finance functionsincluding Accounting,Controllership, Tax, and Treasury.

  • Strong understanding of financial processesand data, internal controls, and regulatory requirementsimpactingglobal organizations.

  • Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Experience managing complex vendor ecosystems and largescale application environments.

  • Strong communication, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.

Preferred:

  • Experienceplanning, designing,transformingand supporting SAPERP and finance platformsincluding SAP S/4 Finance, SAP Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, and Kyriba.

  • Background in highly regulated industries, including life sciencesormedical devices.

  • Experience supporting business separation, transformation, or major system modernization initiativesincluding upgrade and/or migration to SAP S/4.

  • Demonstrated success driving standardization and simplification across global finance systems. Experience withCelonisand/orSignaviois a plus

  • Experience building and leading teams with on andoff shoreresources.

Other:

  • Language requirements: Englishproficiencyrequired.

  • Travel: Up to 10-20%, domestic and occasional international travel.

  • Certifications: IT or Financerelated certifications (e.g., SAP, PMP, CPA) preferred.
