PATTERNMAKER-MACHINIST Technician
POSITION: MACHINIST- Tool and Die - Patternmaker Technician
LOCATION: Victaulic Technical Center, Alburtis, Pa.
REPORTS TO:Technical Center Supervisor of Operations

VICTAULIC TECHNICAL CENTER:
The Technical Center builds and maintains fully machined tool steel patterns for Victaulic facilities worldwide.
JOB SUMMARY:
Proficiency in the broad scope of machining skill sets of both traditionally manual, and advanced CNC operations.
Readblueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T
Use micrometers, calipers,indicators and all commonly applied measuring tools with familiarity of close tolerance dimensioning.
Utilization of math functions including trigonometry describing 3D shapes both manually and within CAD environments is fundamental.
Experience in Solidworks and Mastercam modeling and toolpath software are primary assets to our operations.
Set upand operate CNCmachines including writing andediting G code and M code programsas required. Proficiency in taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting, and editing with continuous improvement in mind is imperative.
Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
CNC Machinery experience includes 3 axis vertical mill (primarily) and latheoperations.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Experience in 3D metal patternmaking preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Required toliftupto 50 lbs.
  • Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
  • 2+ Years Technical schooling preferred.
  • 5+ yearson the job experiencepreferred.
  • High School graduate.
  • Ableto work well with others.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
  • Dayshift:40 Hours. Overtime as required.

JOB TYPE: Full-time, permanent

SCHEDULE:8 hourshifts
