Chandler Residential is looking for a dependable and driven Service Technician to join our team at the Legacy at Tech Center Apartments in Hampton, Virginia. If you take pride in fixing things, enjoy working with your hands, and know how to keep cool under pressure, this is the role for you.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Handle maintenance requests like a proโ€”plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repairs, HVAC, and more.
  • Prepare apartment homes for move-in with quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain the propertyโ€™s appearance and functionalityโ€”from pressure-washing breezeways to ensuring lights are shining bright.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
  • Keep safety top-of-mind, stay organized, and deliver top-notch customer service as part of a team.
What You Bring
  • Experience in general apartment maintenance or similar trades.
  • HVAC certification required; CPO certification a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility with scheduling.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor. Residents should smile when they see you coming.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
  • Basic toolset (or willingness to acquire one).

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Teams, or OneSite.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • Trade school or vocational certification.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation with liability insurance.
  • Pass pre-employment maintenance skills assessment, background check, and drug screening.

Work Hours:
Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM (flexibility required)
On-call hours as scheduled
