What Is a Teaching Pastor?
A teaching pastor oversees faith-based teaching for their church congregation. You may also be required to meet various other administrative and ministry needs, depending on the specifics of your position. Your job is to oversee the theological education of your congregation. The qualifications needed for these jobs vary, but most teaching pastor positions require a bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology or divinity.

- Prioritizes and accomplishes self-development goals
- Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to obtaining the necessary knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits necessary to be successful in this role
