Job Description

The company is looking for a Tax Director to work in our Wakefield, MA office. Our Tax Director oversees the firm’s tax policies and objectives; monitors reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes; ensures accuracy of tax returns and works to minimize the organization’s tax obligations; creates functional strategies and specific objectives; and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the infrastructure.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts
  • Conduct multi-state tax filings
  • Perform tax accruals
  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering clients industry expertise and knowledge
  • Work closely with engagement teams to continually add value to clients
  • Train and mentor tax associates

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Prior experience with ProSystem fx Tax, BNA products, and CCH Intelliconnect is desired
  • CPA certification is required
