Job description

Trump Cidery is looking for a professional, energetic, enthusiastic individual to assist with the management of our Cidery Tasting Room. The Cidery Tasting Room Assistant Manager will assist in the oversight of the development and management of a productive, professional, results-oriented Cidery tasting room team and will continue to refine and deliver the ultimate guest experience. Success will be measured in guest traffic, engagement with the hospitality community and overall growth of Cidery Tasting Room revenues, including Cider Club.

Position Title: Assistant Tasting Room Manager Location: Trump Cidery in Charlottesville, VA - 15 minutes south of Charlottesville city limits; 20 minutes north of Scottsville, VA Hours: Full-time - on site, non - exempt, 40 hours per week, Fridays thru Tuesdays. 11 AM - 7 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM , weekend/holiday availability required Wage: $50,000- $60,000/year (base pay plus tips & gratuities) ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Administrative functions of the Cidery department to include requesting and receiving transfers of merchandise from the warehouse, signing off on invoices, running reports, conducting and reconcile monthly inventory Execute opening and closing duties, including and but not limited to counting money, completing shift report, and ensuring building is ready for operation or secure Excellent relationship building, communication and customer service skills: anticipate customer needs, respond intelligently to visitor questions regarding cider, cider making, other operations on the greater Trump property (Trump Winery Tasting Room at the Grand Hall, Albemarle Estate Hotel, vineyard and winery operations, event operations) and Charlottesville tourism Ensure merchandising of the Cidery tasting room is appealing and set to maximize revenue; organize and execute special promotions; ensure merchandising standards and all visual displays are consistent with the brand Work with the Sales and Marketing department to create and implement sales strategies to drive customer engagement and sales growth Assist with management of tasting room staff including scheduling changes, addressing complaints, and resolving problems; serving as Shift Manager as needed Encourage a fast-paced, gracious, and highly productive team 'culture' that is focused on making the guest experience the best it can be Perform Cider Club tasks, including but not limited to: new member registration, data entry, cancellation requests, accurate record keeping REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of two years of direct-to-consumer sales with demonstrated excellence in customer service One year previous management experience in hospitality, tourism, or restaurant business preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Flexible availability to include working the majority of all weekends and holidays Excellent communications skills, professional demeanor, well-groomed neat appearance, and customer-oriented approach Must be able to work on your feet at least eight hours per day. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
