Finance and Insurance (F&I) Director - Automotive

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Finance Director to lead our dealership's finance department with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of automotive financing, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers while driving profitability and compliance. Your leadership will inspire a team of finance professionals to deliver exceptional customer service, negotiate effectively, and maximize sales opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Lead the dealership's finance operations, including loan processing, credit analysis, and contract negotiations, ensuring adherence to TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations.
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing transparent financial options, upselling additional products, and delivering outstanding service throughout the sales process.
  • Manage and develop the finance team to achieve sales targets, improve skills in negotiation, and enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for upselling vehicle protection plans, extended warranties, and other financial products.
  • Oversee title processing, deal structuring, and compliance with all legal requirements related to auto financing.
  • Utilize financial software efficiently for loan approval workflows, credit checks, and documentation management.
  • Conduct credit analysis to determine customer eligibility while maintaining a focus on responsible lending practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the dealership's customer loan origination and approval process, maintaining strong relationships with both prime and subprime lenders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all federal, state, and dealership documentation.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Finance Managers, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Drive performance by setting and achieving monthly income forecasts, product penetration goals, and CSI benchmarks.
  • Present and sell value-added products such as service contracts, GAP coverage, and other protection plans.

What You Bring:

  • A dynamic, relationship-driven approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proven success in creating a positive, high-integrity sales environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an F&I Producer; prior Director-level experience is highly preferred.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
