  • Location: Based in Houston, Texas, with travel between Houston and Dallas as needed

  • Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000, plus commission

    • This position includes a commission structure per client of15% in the first year, 7.5% in the second year, and 0% the third year and after. Commissions are paid monthly when submitted timely.

About the Role

Career Partners International is hiring a Career Transition / Outplacement Services Sales Manager to drive new business growth in Houston, Dallas, and surrounding markets.

In this role, you will generate leads, develop relationships with HR leaders and business decision-makers, and close new client accounts for outplacement, career transition, recruiting, talent development, and temporary staffing solutions.

This is a high-impact B2B sales role for someone who understands how to build trust with HR leaders, uncover business needs, and move prospects through a consultative sales process. The number one driver for this position is increasing gross profit through new client revenue, repeat business, and long-term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

As the Career Transition / Outplacement Services Sales Manager, you will:

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities in HR, talent acquisition, organizational development, and related sectors to increase overall gross profit.
  • Set qualified appointments with prospective clients in assigned territories.
  • Drive gross profit growth by moving prospects through discovery, proposals, negotiations, and closing new accounts.
  • Conduct outbound outreach through email, phone calls, LinkedIn, networking, and events to build a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Present outplacement services, recruiting solutions, talent development services, and staffing solutions tailored to each client's needs.
  • Schedule and lead discovery calls, product demos, and proposal meetings.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including lead status, call notes, activity history, and meeting outcomes.
  • Track and analyze weekly activity metrics while consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, HR challenges, workforce changes, and market conditions.
  • Manage the in-house prospect and client database in Zenople.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Preferred 3-5 years of B2B corporate sales experience, preferably in HR solutions, staffing, recruiting, talent development, consulting, or related services.
  • Familiarity with outplacement, HR consulting, workforce solutions, or talent solutions is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and people skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong networking contacts and business development capabilities.
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with confidence in outbound prospecting.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, marketing, or a related field preferred.

First-Year Performance Expectations

In the first year, this role is expected to:

  • Generate $300K-$800K+ in new revenue by closing multiple net-new client accounts and contributing directly to gross profit growth.
  • Build and maintain a consistent 3-5x sales pipeline through disciplined outbound prospecting, discovery, and opportunity management.
  • Establish a strong HR network in Houston and Dallas, becoming a trusted partner for layoffs, restructuring, career transition, recruiting, talent development, and staffing solutions.
  • Demonstrate high activity and conversion discipline, including 50-100+ weekly outbound touches, steady client meetings, proposals, and deal progression.
  • Achieve full ramp by 4-6 months and consistent production by year-end, including repeat business and referral-driven opportunities.


Working Conditions

  • Some field travel is required for client meetings, primarily in the Houston metro area, with possible travel to Dallas, Austin, and other markets as needed.
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided according to company policy.
