Job description

Job Title: Corporate GL Accountant

Supervisor: Corporate Director of Accounting and/or Chief Financial Officer

Summary

The Corporate GL Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards for multiple entities, as assigned. This role involves preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The accountant will collaborate with property-level and corporate accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting, support audits, and provide financial analysis as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare monthly financials for multiple hotel properties
  • Review and process property Income journals daily.
  • Bank Reconciliations for multiple hotel properties
  • Review and reconcile Hotel A/Rs.
  • Prepare and file sales and use and occupancy tax returns for properties as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain BS GL account reconciliations
  • Work with property level personnel to resolve hotel accounting matters as needed.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate work production.
  • Train and Support the A/P team as needed
  • Manage fixed asset accounting
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does require consistent communication and collaboration with both property and corporate level staff, management, and vendors.

  • Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
