Talent Development Manager The Waldinger Corporation | Des Moines, IA

About the role
At Waldinger, talent development has a real impact on how our people and organization grow. We're looking for an experienced L&D professional to lead our learning initiatives — bringing both the strategic vision to shape direction and the hands-on expertise to deliver results.

What you'll own
  • Learning Programs: Oversee and evolve a comprehensive suite of learning initiatives, ensuring they remain effective, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Needs Assessment & Analysis: Identify skill gaps and opportunities across the organization, using data and stakeholder input to inform priorities.
  • Training Facilitation: Facilitate sessions and coordinate with internal and external facilitators to maintain consistently high-quality delivery.
  • Impact Measurement & Reporting: Track outcomes and ROI, and share regular insights with senior leadership to guide continued investment in learning.
  • Technology & Platforms: Leverage LMS tools and virtual learning solutions to keep programs scalable and accessible.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with leaders across the business to keep talent development connected to what the organization needs most.

What you bring
  • 5–7 years of L&D experience across the full lifecycle — strategy, design, delivery, and measurement
  • Bachelor's in HR, Education, Business, or related field; master's in Organizational Development or equivalent preferred
  • Strong instincts for instructional design, facilitation, and learning technology
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and translating business needs into learning solutions
