This role is focused on recruiting the top eCommerce Marketplace sellers. You will manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success. The position emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver value and support organizational goals. The manager also fosters talent development and promotes a culture of integrity, adaptability, and high performance to enhance customer and business outcomes. About the team:
The Walmart Marketplace team is dedicated to building a trusted community of professional sellers who provide authentic products and exceptional customer experiences. The Manager, Business Development leads efforts to identify, recruit, and onboard high-quality sellers, driving assortment growth and sustainable revenue. Collaborating closely with category growth teams, the role evaluates market opportunities and competitive trends to develop effective acquisition strategies. The team manages the full seller lifecycle, ensuring sellers are positioned for long-term success while supporting Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and innovation in a dynamic retail environment.
What you'll do:
  • 3+ years of successful experience in sales, business development, channel partnerships, business management, product marketing, omni-channel merchandising, or a related field. Required experience in eCommerce, with marketplace or retail technology experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders  
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively  
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities  
  • Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers is a plus  
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to build trust and influence stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
