Position Overview
The Global Talent Acquisition Operations Lead is responsible for shaping and evolving the operational strategy that enables Talent Acquisition to deliver exceptional hiring outcomes at scale. This role oversees the processes, technology, analytics, governance, and strategic programs that power the recruiting function, while identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies-including AI-to improve recruiter productivity, candidate experience, and operational effectiveness.
This is a senior individual contributor role that leads through expertise, influence and execution.
What You'll Do
Drive Operational Excellence
  • Develop and continuously improve global Talent Acquisition processes, standards and governance.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, automate manual work and improve the recruiter, hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Lead operational initiatives that improve efficiency, quality and scalability.

Own Talent Acquisition Technology Enablement
  • Serve as the business owner for Phenom (our CRM), including roadmap planning, feature adoption and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with HR Technology to prioritize enhancements across the Talent Acquisition technology ecosystem, including Workday Recruiting and Phenom.
  • Stay informed on emerging recruiting technologies, AI capabilities, and industry best practices, recommending innovations that improve recruiter productivity and candidate experience.
  • Gather business requirements, evaluate solutions and support implementation of new capabilities.
  • Lead quarterly enhancement planning and user adoption activities.
  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans that support successful rollout and adoption of new recruiting technology capabilities.

Lead Strategic Programs
  • Lead cross-functional Talent Acquisition initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize the organization's contingent workforce hiring processes and support the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of contingent workforce solutions, including a Vendor Management System (VMS).
  • Serve as the Talent Acquisition operational owner for the contingent workforce program, partnering cross-functionally with Procurement, HR Enablement, Technology, and business leaders to optimize processes, vendor partnerships, and the overall experience for hiring managers and contingent workers.
  • Develop project plans, manage stakeholders and drive successful execution.

Deliver Data & Insights
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting.
  • Develop meaningful insights and recommendations that influence Talent Acquisition strategy and business decision making.
  • Translate data into recommendations that improve hiring outcomes.

Vendor & Partner Management
  • Manage relationships with Talent Acquisition vendors, evaluate performance and maximize value.
  • Evaluate new technologies and external partners, developing business cases and recommendations that support the evolution of the Talent Acquisition function.

Ensure Operational Excellence & Compliance
  • Maintain recruiting processes that support compliance and data integrity.
  • Partner with Legal and HR Technology to maintain appropriate governance and documentation.
  • Support audit readiness and documentation.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Approximately 8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition Operations, HR Operations, People Operations, or other enterprise operational functions with responsibility for technology, process improvement and cross-functional program leadership. Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition teams or supporting recruiting operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing recruiting technology solutions such as CRM or other recruitment platforms.
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce operations, including contractor hiring processes, MSP/VMS models, and vendor management, preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating recruiting data into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across multiple functions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects without direct authority.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.

Location and Workplace Flexibility
Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
Base Salary Range
$127,000.00 - $160,550.00
At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
