Job description

Building the Future - One Jobsite at a Time
Around the world, cities are growing, infrastructure is expanding, and the demand for reliable, efficient compact equipment has never been greater. At Takeuchi, we're helping shape that future by engineering machines that empower the people who build it.
For more than six decades, Takeuchi has been an industry pioneer - introducing the world's first compact excavator and redefining what it means to deliver quality, durability, and performance. We're investing in our people and our technology like never before, because we believe innovation begins with those who know the job best.
If you're driven to make an impact and ready to help dealers and customers succeed, Takeuchi is where you belong.
Your Impact
As the Northeast Region Business Manager (RBM), you'll lead all sales and business development efforts across a multi-state region. You'll work closely with Takeuchi dealers to grow market share, drive retail sales, and strengthen our network through strategic partnerships and exceptional customer support.
In this role, you will:
  • Serve as the regional business lead, guiding dealer development and executing strategies to achieve market share goals.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and onboard qualified dealers to expand Takeuchi's market presence and coverage.
  • Partner with dealers to develop annual sales plans, establish performance targets, and implement best practices.
  • Support key national and rental accounts, ensuring Takeuchi delivers the highest level of service and product support.
  • Communicate market insights, competitive trends, and business opportunities to corporate leadership.
  • Promote Takeuchi programs, sales incentives, and product initiatives throughout the region.
  • Represent Takeuchi at dealer meetings, industry events, and customer visits, building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Travel extensively (approximately 80%) to maintain active engagement within your region.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • Proven success in regional sales management, dealer development, or equipment distribution (construction, compact, or heavy equipment industry).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and sustain trusted partnerships.
  • A results-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively.
  • A passion for helping dealers and customers grow through integrity, teamwork, and innovation.
  • You will be located in (or willing to relocate to) New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Pennsylvania

Why Takeuchi
At Takeuchi, you're more than part of a team - you're part of a legacy built on craftsmanship, innovation, and customer focus. Here, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of compact equipment, supported by a company that values your expertise, initiative, and ideas.
We offer:
  • Competitive base pay and performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A culture that rewards innovation, accountability, and customer excellence
