Yard/Store Employee

Indy Equipment & Supply (IES) is looking for an ambitious, driven, and reliable Yard/Store Employee in our Independence OH location. In this role you will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks to maintain the appearance and inventory of the company property and equipment.

A typical day looks like:

  • Loading customers vehicles with supplies or gravel
  • Organizing the yard and warehouse according to Store Managers' direction
  • Keeping the shop clean, neat and orderly at all times
  • Maintaining appearance of main yard by keeping all equipment stored in yard in an orderly manner
  • Locating and inventorying equipment, materials and supplies stored in yard and shop locations as directed
  • Loading and unloading any deliveries or shipments in or out of yard
  • Emptying all trash receptacles from shop, lunchroom and yard into dumpsters on a daily basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment preferred
  • Must be able or be able to learn to operate equipment such as motor vehicles, front-end loader, tow motor, bobcat, power washer
  • Must operate equipment and perform job duties with safety rules in mind and abide by them
  • Must be able to recollect where equipment/tools are so timely retrieval is possible
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with co-workers and supervisor
  • Position functions indoors and outdoors in all-weather elements
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary during peak times including Saturdays
